Hydroponics Gardening

According to Wikipedia:

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. Terrestrial plants may be grown with their roots in the mineral nutrient solution only or in an inert medium, such as perlite, gravel, mineral wool, expanded clay or coconut husk.

Hydroponic farming works on the belief that plants don’t need soil for their existence, soil is just a source for water and nutrients. So if water and nutrients can be provided to plants directly, there would be no need for soil, thereby, also eliminating the menace of pests. Practitioners of hydroponics claim that it has many advantages over traditional farming like less usage of water, healthier plants, stable and high yields, no use of pesticides, easier to harvest etc.

Given below is an infographic from Hydroponic Micro Farms, that lists down 5 interesting facts about hydroponics.
