Do you want a place, where you can sit and relax, during the warm days of spring? A place, where you can open your favorite book and spend a couple of hours away from the urban noise and business? Your little relaxation corner is just as important as the other elements of your garden. Even if your garden is small, this place of tranquility is one of the things that you will definitely have to pay attention on, even if it occupies a significant part of your garden. If your courtyard is a bit bigger, you can afford to make two, three or more relaxation corners. But the main one has to be somewhere near the house. Also, when choosing the right place for your garden furniture, you will have to consider it with your own comfort. It has to be suitable for both a family dinner and an outdoor party, right?
A big garden can offer you a great variety of places for recreation. One of them, for example, can be near a flower bed of fragrant plants, which can provide you with a quiet place, where you can be alone with your own thoughts or spend a nice summer afternoon with your beloved one. It is not always necessary to use some outdoor furniture. A large log, for instance, can turn into a great bench; some bigger stone (with a suitable shape and size) can become a perfect chair. There is a great variety of creative ideas and they are all up to you and your own imagination.
When we talk about garden furniture, we can separate it into two different groups – still and movable. The first group is furniture which is either too heavy to be moved, or is a part of the house or some other structure. It can even be a part of the overall design of the garden and moving it can ruin the whole concept of the exterior.
Movable furniture, on the other hand, is furniture which has nothing to do with the design of the garden; it is light and we can easily move it from one place to another. During the autumn, when we do not use it, garden furniture can be used as a part of the decoration- a lonely bench, with some grass on it sounds really romantic; or a couple of wrought iron chairs, in the middle of the garden, facing the beautiful, red sunset. Classic!
You can find a great variety of materials for outdoor furniture – aluminum, wrought iron, plastic, wood, stone. The choice of the most appropriate pieces of furniture for your garden is very important, since it has to match with the overall atmosphere of the garden. For example, if your garden is a classic English, then the best solution for you if wood furniture. Bench and chairs in bright colours, covered with nice cushions with floral ornaments. Some more luxurious gardens, on the other hand, will prefer the company of rattan or teak wood furniture, which is believed to be really expensive. A great addition will be some bright, one-colour cushions.
