The Friendly Earthworm [Infographic]

We all hate pests, especially those that damage our beautiful lawn. But there is one insect which is not a pest but a friend for your garden soil – the earthworm! Earthworms have the unique ability to break soil and dead plant matter to produce nutrients that are beneficial for the plants growing in the soil. Not only do they distribute the nutrients to the entire soil area, they also soften the soil by tunneling though it and preventing the soil from becoming too compact.

The infographic below (via Lawn Care) explains visually, how the friendly worm keeps your lawn healthy and smiling.
